Narcisse Chamberlain

French, 1924 - 2008

Narcisse Chamberlain was a highly respected cookbook editor and writer, with more than 20 years as a senior editor at William Morrow under her belt. She also edited design books, having been a trained as a painter, and co-authored books with her father, Samuel Chamberlain and mother, Narcissa G. Chamberlain. Narcisse has her Bachelors from Bennington College, after which she began her career as a researcher, first for Time in New York City and then for Newsweek in Paris. She was also an editor for Gourmet in the '50s.
