Naomi Replansky

American, 1918 -

Naomi Replansky was born in the Bronx in 1918. She began to write poetry in her teens, but she published her first collection in 1952, when she was thirty-four. This collection was nominated for the National Book Award. Replansky has since published three additional collections and translated numerous works from the German and from the Yiddish. She lives in New York City with her companion Eva Kollisch.
