N. John Hall

N. John Hall is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Bronx Community College and the Graduate Center, CUNY. He earned both his Masters and Bachelors at Seton Hall University, followed by a PhD at New York University. Twice a Guggenheim Fellow, as well as the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies, he is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on Anthony Trollope and Max Beerbohm. Some of his other titles include Trollope: A Biography (Oxford University Press, 1991), Max Beerbohm: A Kind of Life (Yale University Press, 2002), and Belief: A Memoir (Frederic C. Beil, Publisher, 2007).
