Guy Billout

French, 1941-

Guy Billout began his career as an illustrator for small French advertising firms. His breakthrough came after he moved to New York City in 1969, where he found a way into the ranks of New York Magazine. He has since published in a wide range of prestigious publications, including The Atlantic, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post. He has also illustrated numerous children’s books, five of which have earned spots on The New York Times’ annual list of best picture books.
