Richard Adams

Richard Adams is the beloved author of classics including Watership Down and The Plague Dogs. He began writing fiction in his spare time while working for the British Civil Service after being discharged from the army. After the breakthrough success of Watership Down, he was able to support his family by writing full-time. Adams won the two most prestigious British children's books awards, the Carnegie Medal and the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize.
